Google's Gemini AI Enhances Image Editing Capabilities
Google has unveiled new experimental features in its Gemini 2.0 Flash AI model, now available to developers worldwide. Notably, Gemini 2.0 Flash can remove watermarks from photos with remarkable precision, even handling complex watermarks like those from Getty Images. Additionally, it can generate images from text prompts and perform conversational image editing. Currently, these advanced features are limited to developers through AI Studio, and Google has yet to address potential misuse concerns, such as unauthorized watermark removal. (The Verge)
Funny story, I didn't realize that I could create images in Gemini. I'm mainly there to interact with my Google Workspace documents. I jumped into Gemini to create an image for this blog. It, inevitably, had the same problems that other image generators have, and my sarcasm and sass with each iteration grew stronger. I giggled when it finally got it remotely right, but it was giving me the middle finger. Touché, Gemini. Touché.

Small Businesses Embrace AI for Operational Efficiency
A recent report by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) and Intuit reveals that 89% of small businesses are now utilizing AI tools. These tools primarily automate routine tasks, enhancing productivity and job satisfaction. Despite high adoption rates, challenges like lack of knowledge and time hinder some business owners from fully implementing AI. To address these barriers, the report suggests flexible educational programs, employee involvement in tech decisions, and transparency about AI’s benefits and risks. Additionally, Intuit and ICIC plan to launch the "Intuit More with AI Tour" in 2025, offering free events to provide hands-on experience with AI tools. (Axios)
